I rode yesterday believe it or not. Sore butt cheek and all. Also found some new pains that I missed when I fell. I wrenched my neck, have some soreness on my arm, and a new soreness further don the butt toward my tail bone. Bonus is my lower back is still in one piece for now. I know, lets not do that again.
Yesterdays ride was interesting to say the least. First off, Louis was still weirded out. he was skittish in the cross ties while trying to blanket him. Don't know what is going on with him. I am starting to wonder though if we are just not clicking. He ended up on the lunge line before I could get on him after he was spooked by the gate in the corral.
So I started my ride in a clockwise circle. No big deal right? Wrong. I couldn't get the post correct, my balance was way off. I thought Louis and I were just not meshing. After about 15 min of this we tried counter clockwise. Hmmm that seemed to better. Come to find out, I am a right hand girl. My right side is stronger than my left. I can post better going to the left than to the right. So from now on we start by posting to the right and then switch. No brainer or is it?
Glad to hear you got back up in the saddle again but sorry to hear it didn't go as well as you would have liked. Maybe the third time will be charm!
